Previous Investigative Activities

The RI was designed and implemented to assess potential subsurface environmental impacts resulting from the historical Site operations, delineate the associated extent of impacts, and evaluate potential off-site migration pathways and their potential contributions to media and receptors. The scope of work was developed after reviewing historical plans and other available records. The RI was implemented between 2011 and 2019, with subsequent supplemental investigations conducted in 2021 and 2024/2025. The results of investigations at the Site conducted previous to the RI and the supplemental investigations were incorporated into the RI.

To date, two Interim Remedial Measures have been performed at the Site. The first, completed in 2005 with supplemental activities conducted in 2006/2007, removed shallow soils in the northeast portion of the Site. The second was conducted in 2012 in the central area of the site and also included shallow soil removal. Both IRMs were conducted prior to new construction in these areas.
